Welcome — I’m Thyra-Valeska

My work blends Yoga, Qigong, and Somatic movement to offer tools for grounding, resilience, and balance when life feels overwhelming.

I understand these struggles personally. Living with hypermobility and neurodivergence, and having gone through burnout myself, I know what it’s like when your body and mind feel out of balance. These practices became a way back to steadiness for me — and now I offer them as simple, accessible ways for others to reconnect with themselves.

If you’re living with stress, exhaustion, hypermobility, or neurodivergence, you may know what it feels like to be ungrounded, tense, or far from centered. My approach is designed to support you in coming back to yourself — gently, sustainably, and with compassion.

A Different Way to Practice

Practice is not about pushing harder, striving for perfect poses, or following rigid routines. It’s about:

  • Calming the nervous system through gentle, trauma-informed practices.

  • Reconnecting with your body in a way that feels safe and supportive.

  • Building stability and strength without force, especially for those with hypermobility.

  • Creating inner steadiness so you can meet life’s transitions with more resilience.

My work weaves together Eastern wisdom (Yoga, Qigong, Daoist philosophy) with contemporary science (fascia research, biomechanics, nervous system regulation). The result is a grounded, compassionate approach that meets you where you are.

Why Practice With Me?

Because I’ve been there.
I don’t teach from theory alone — these practices supported me through burnout, stress, and instability, and I know they can support you too.

Burnout, overwhelm, and disconnection are not signs of weakness. They are signals — invitations to slow down, to listen inward, and to restore balance.

Movement can be meditation. Breath can be medicine. And even small shifts in awareness can create space for resilience, calm, and confidence.
